Martha Coleman 1870-1875 Virginia Charles Mitchell 1895-1904 Virginia Children: Maude (b. 1893), Lavinia (b.1904), Stanley (b. c.1905-1910). Found Martha's parents' names (William & Henrietta Coleman) on sister Minnie's 1921 marriage certificate. Martha, her husband Charles and baby son Stanley died of TB between 1904-1910. Their burial place is probably in Richmond VA (Evergreen Cemetery). Martha & Charles are on grand-mother Lavinia's (mate: William Taylor) marriage certificate. .  niafunke@aol.com 

Margaret 1750 Augusta Co. Va. Lawrence Swink unknown Virginia Children: Barbara, Henry, Mathias, Betsey, Peggy (Margaret).. Margaret was alive in November, 1800, when her husband's will was read. Otherwise I have no other information on her. I am looking for her surname, date of birth and death, where buried and any info on her parents, etc. that I can get .  Sherrill Baugh SksBaugh@cs.com 

Nancy GRIMES 1783 Virginia Jonathan F. FRANKLIN abt. 1805 Virginia First_Census: 1840 Sabine Parish, Louisiana. Children: George, William, James Washington, Benjamin, A. Jackson, and Thomas. Nancy Grimes was the daughter of a Medical Doctor. She married Jonathan F. Franklin, Rev. War Soldier, had five boys in Tennessee and one in Arkansas. They were one of the first settlers in the 1830's to Central Louisiana. Jonathan first purchased land in Claiborne Parish along with Stephen Wingate. Jonathan was born in 1766 in VA. They are found on the 1840 Sabine Parish Census. On the 1850 Census they are found living with son, Thomas and by 1860 Jonathan has died and Nancy is living with son, Thomas and family. In the 1820 Lincoln County, TN census, there is a Jonathan Franklin and family. Is this the Jonathan Franklin that moved to LA? Looking for the Grimes family in TN and/or VA? Sarah Barnes 1773 VA Jephtha Terrel 1790 Virginia Children: Matthew, William, John, Timothy, Ruth, Jeptha, Mary, Josiah, Enoch, Joseph, Sarah, Anna. Sarah and Jephtha were married in VA and moved to Champaign Co, OH about 1811/12. Sarah died there between 1840/50. Jephtha's parents were Matthew and Mary Terrel. .  coxloukat@aol.com

Creola Mae Gray 1906 Stanley, Va. Virginia Last appeared in 1920 Page County Census. Disappeared in mid 1920's. She may have corresponded with someone through the Lonely Hearts Club. Her family never saw or heard from her again. Wanda Sue Lang dlang@shentel.net

Sarah M. Robinson July 22 1822 or 1823 Jesse Murphy Woodward July 15, 1847 Virginia Child: Suzanna Jane. She apparently married Jesse Woodward in Lee County, VA. A letter from Jesse's father said she was from Washington rather than being local. They went to Brooklyn, Harrison County, Missouri around 1849-1850. Jane (Jean) Leathe 1820 Scotland Erastus Holmes Spaulding, Rochester, New York 1840-43 Children: William Henry, George?. Jane Leathe was a Quaker. Her son, William Henry Spaulding said, that he was born in Rochester, NY. He may have had a brother named George. Their father, Erastus H. Paulina WATSON-GOODALE 1880? Kentucky Stephen (Steven) A. GOODALE 1883/1884 Children: Laura Anna GOODALE-LILES-RIDDLE; William Jesse GOODALE. Hello~! Paulina WATSON was born in Kentucy. On 12-Decc-1884 her daughter, Laura was born in Kansas. In 1896 her son, William was born in Missouri, probably St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., Mo. 12 Year difference in the births of these siblings, I'm sure their must be more. Steven A. GOODALE, worked as a Carpenter as was in the 1891 St. Joseph, Mo. Directory. I think listed for 3 consecutive years. Anyone with parents or siblings for my Paulina WATSON? Jessica Hibbs 1960 California Paul Dosen unknown Children: Trisha Ragan 21 years old, Robbie Mckinstry 11years old, Kyle Dosen 8 years old. I have been looking for my mother for the past 6 years. She up and took off on me when I was 16. She took both of my brothers with her and her soon to be husband Paul. My father has not seen his son in 8 in a half years. My mother is not a bad person but I do need your help. There was no reason for her to up and leave me and my father. If there is any one out there that has seen a white woman with very long blond hair (past her behind or close to it) Blue eyes, fair complexion, and skinny please e-mail me trisharagan@yahoo.com My one brother which is 11 has brown hair and if my memory serves me right it's curly and hazel eyes. Caroline Knox 1829 Illinois or Ohio Matthew White 1844-1849 First_Census: Wisconsin. Children: Albert P., Laura J., Lewis W., Elizabeth, Monica F., George A.., Caleb Ellis. From Wisconsin Caroline and Matthew moved to Clay Co., S.D. Matthew is buried in Old Lodi Cemetery in Wakonda, South Dakota. Daughter Elizabeth was married and died in Grant Co., Wisconsin. Weltha Phillips December 30, 1832 Pennsylvania Truman Wilson 1847 Pennsylvania Children: Lydia, Mary, George, Theodore,Emily, Olive, Lillian. Weltha was orphaned at an early age, and "raised by a Sea Captain who sailed around the Horn" Her words.. Census dates, 1860,1870, 1880, 1900, 1910. all in North Shade Twp. Gratiot Co., Michigan. I am trying to find where in PA she was born and who her parents were. In the census records they were listed as being born:- Father in MA, and Mother in PA. MRS MURPHY 1800's Ireland maybe..not sure ---- MURPHY Pennsylvania Looking for the identity of MRS MURPHY and her relationship to the O"KEANE family of Rochester Pa Beaver Co ......this Mrs Murphy's info was found in the Diocese of Pittsburg's records ... St Pauls Orphanage Records, Girls Register #4 Sept 1876 to Dec 1896. quote......MARGARET O'KANE [O'KEANE] aged 3 yrs Sister of MARY ANN O'KANE [O'KEANE] and admitted with her on same terms by the same Delivered to her AUNT MRS. MURPHY Rochester PA on Nov 14 1885...Returned May 21 1889...... Margaret and Mary Ann O'Kane [O'Keane] and their 3 brothers William J, John and Frank were put into St Pauls Orphanage in July of 1880 2 months after their mothers {MARIA O'KEANE nee Stakem/Stakum death. Their fathers name was PATRICK O'KEANE he died in 1884....known sisters of Patrick were Bridget and Catherine....there was also a Kate Stakem/Stakum that was related to Maria O"Keane ...anyone of these 3 could be Mrs. Murphy....searches done so far in the last 3 yrs fail to identify her...... .  slc33@texas.net 

Veronica (Unknown) ABT 1727 Bucks County PA (unconfirmed) Chrisitan Miller Before 1749 Pennsylvania First_Census: 1790 Surry County NC. Children: Catherina (Long), Elizabeth (Carpenter), Jacob, Mary (Davis). Christian and Veronica MILLER were living in Bucks Co.,PA in 1749, then came to Deep Creek area of present day Surry Co., North Carolina, in 1752. Veronica is believed to have died in 1784. Christian's will of 1785 does not mention her, though she was definitely still living on Feb. 29, 1784, as recorded by the Moravians at the occasion of her daughter Cathrina's death after childbirth. I am looking for any record of Christian and/or Veronica prior to 1752. They are believed to have been married in Berks County PA .  Michelle Tanner lloth@mindspring.com 
  

  
Mary Bowers/Baugher c.1804 probably Pennsylvania, or possibly Ohio Robert Lorain about 1828 Pennsylvania First_Census: 1840, with husband, Robert Lorain, Beaver Co., PA. Children: Jane, Mary, John, Elizabeth, Robert Jr.. 1840 Census, N. Sewickley Twp., Beaver Co. PA 1850 Census, Wayne Twp., Lawrence Co., PA 1860 Census, Franklin Twp., Beaver Co., PA. Robert Lorain died 30 September 1878 (my grandmother's Bible). I cannot find Robert or Mary in the 1870 census, or any record of their deaths anywhere n PA. I have death records and obits for sons John and Robert Jr. Mary was my great Grandmother. She was maried to Silas Blair. I can not find anything on Jane or Elizabeth. I have never been able to find anything about Mary Bowers, other than as Robert Lorain's wife. Who were her parents? .  Mary Blair Rader mrader@dragonbbs.com 

MARY ? 1715-1720 PETER YOCUM 1738 Pennsylvania First_Census: EARLY PHILADELPHIA TAX RECORDS AFTER HUSBAND DIED IN 1766. Children: ABRAHAM, DEBORAH, ANN, MARGARET, PETER, MARY, CHARLES. Early census done by Gloria Dei Church in Philadelphia indicates that Mary Yocum, wife of Peter, may have been English. She disappears from the tax lists around 1779. Peter Yocum was the only son of Charles Yocum and Ann Supplee Yocum who married in 1703. He had one sister, Christian, who married William Lascum. His son Abraham acted as executor of his will. B.B. Susan 1809 Alabama Nathan Bullard born @1805 1827 Tennessee First_Census: 1850 Henderson County, Tennessee. Children: William, Wiley McAlister, Andrew J., Edmund, Eliza Jane, Martha E., Mary Ann, Susan Elizabeth, Nathan Andy, Cqarroll T., Henderson GGuise. Nathan died sometimes before 1852 as Susan, a widow, and some of her children moved with her oldest daughter Eliza, who had married a Richardson to Rusk County Texas, Susan along with William, Andrew and H. G. appears on the 1860 Rusk County Census. The older children married in Rusk County but by 1870 most of them were in Smith County, Texas. I need Susan's maiden name, when she died and where she is buried. The name Susan runs in every generation of the family. Mattie (Martha) JORDAN 1863 Tennessee POWELL, J.C, Tennessee First_Census: 1880 in Tishomingo Co. MS. Mattie's parents were Archer Edwin Jordan & Ursula Whitsitt. They lived in Middle TN before the Civil War. After Archer died as a POW of the Union Army, Mattie & her sister & brother moved to Nashville. Then to Mississippi where her brother married. Her sister Annie, born in 1854 is also 'missing'. I know that Mattie was still alive in 1945 & living in Memphis TN when her brother James Whitsitt JORDAN died. Nancy Baggett 1806 North Carolina Malachi (Malaki) Harrison 1823-1824 Tennessee Children: Matilda Caroline, William Henry, Nathaniel, John, Malachi B., Julia A., Jams M., Nancy & Synthia (Cynthia) twins. Nancy Baggett probably lived with her family in Humphreys, TN by 1820, and married Malachi Harrison in the same, or nearby, county. The couple lived in Benton County, TN where she died about 1846. No record of her marriage or death has been found to date. Census records do not give wife's name before 1850. Nancy may have been the daughter of Johon Baggett who appears in 1820 Humphreys County census. .  Billie Harrison Hunt aunbibi@aol.com 

Mary (Polly) Grissom (Griffin, Grishom) about 1791 Knox, Knoxville, Tennessee Johon Barnard 8 Nov 1813 Tennessee Children: Sterling Jefferson, George Washington, Martha, Alice Louisa, Sarah Ann, William Harrison. Both Mary (Polly) Grissom and husband, John Barnard died between 1828 and 1830, possibly in Grainger County, Tennessee, The family ventured to the northwest territory of Alabama around 1818. Mary was said to be Cherokee, the daughter of William (Tahla-Che-Ca) Grissom and Susannah Caw-ew-ker. After the death of their parents, the children were placed in the guardianship of their uncle, George W. Barnard, and returned to Tazwell, Claiborne County, Tennessee and lived with their paternal grandmother, Obedience Bridget Barnett (Jonathan Barnard) .  Billie Harrison Hunt aunbibi@aol.com 

Nancy Emeline SCOTT April 25, 1819 Tennessee Etheldred Howell abt. 1835 Tennessee First_Census: 1840 Hardin County TN. Children: Mary Missouri, William C., Cynthia A., Nancy Jane, Ethelred. Nancy Emeline may have gone by the name "Emeline". She is found on the 1840 Hardin County TN Census with her husband, Etheldred Howell. Ehteldred Howell died in 1848 on his way to New Orleans of a fever. In the 1850 Henderson County Cenus she is living with her children. 1860 census, she is living next to door to A. Scott, age 71 and Nancy, age 70. I believe these to be her parents. Trying to document the name of Nancy Emeline's parents and siblings. Will share any information on this family. Zilla Blackwood c.1800 or thereafter Thomas J. (Jefferson ?) Biggers c. 1820-1830 Tennessee Children: Thomas J. Biggers, Lucinda. Family history is only reference to Zilla. Her husband first appears first appears around the mid 1800's in the Dog Creek community around Dickson, Tennessee. (Dickson County.) Her husband was referred to as "Dr." Biggers. .  Mary C. Julia Ann Abt 1820 TN, possibly Franklin County William T. Frame 1836 Tennessee First_Census: 1850 Franklin County. Children: Robert, Wiley, Jessie, Martha and John. Listed as the spouse of William in 1850 and 1860 for Franklin County. Julia Ann's surname is unknown, however, from the information regarding William, I believe that they both were born, married and died in Franklin County. .  Doug Frame roandi@dmi.net

Allie Ellendor Pratt 1857 Tennessee Robert Daniel Lowrance 12-24-1873 Tennessee Children: Robert, Vannie, Ivy, Mirtie, Allie, Gideon, Pearl,josie. Allie Ellendor Pratt was 1/2 Native American, possibly Cherokee. I only know that she was orphaned very young, lived with one family, ran away from them about age 12 or 13 and was taken in by the second family and stayed with them until her marriage. She lived in Rutherford, Tn, Gibson Co., when she married. Not sure if Pratt was original name, name of first or last family she lived with. Marriage records show Miss A. E. Pratt. Death cert says Pratt as father, mother, not know. Need some information if anyone knows of this Pratt. .  dianf@usit.net   

Edna Yearout March 5, 1848 Blount County, Tennessee William James Stinnett 1865(?) Tennessee Children: William, Calvin, Lemuel, Mary Alice, Emmeline Harriet, Lily, Robert Franklin.. Edney was first found in the 1860 Blount County census with John and Martha Raulston Yearout. John was 65, Martha 62 and Edney 12. Leads me to think they were grandparents. Even though all census records indicate her as being born 1848, she is missing from this family in 1850. Also missing are David and Daniel Yearout. David did have a daughter named Catherine E. but I have been unable to verify that this is Edna. Edna was in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census of Blount also, and in the early 1900's City Directory of Knoxville, TN. She died January 14, 1924. I have her medical, burial and death records, all which list parents unknown. One of her children, Lemuel Yearout (illigitimate?) was listed in the home of Lewis and MJ Yearout Williams as nephew, 1880 census. Lucy Hoggett Buntin ca 1865 MO or IL Thomas M. Buntin Hopkins CO KY Lucy reportedly married Thomas Buntin at age 13 in either IL or MO. Shortly after the marriage they returned to his home in Hopkins CO. KY. She died there in 1938, he in 1935. She was said to be of Native American heritage.. Some of their children: William Manly, Henry, Charles, Minnie, Edna, May.. Need to know who her siblings, parents were and where she came from. Carolyn Buntin Eveland caroleve@bellsouth.net
