She married Dr. Jeremiah H. Stealy in Browntown, Green County, Wisconsin 31 May, 1883. They travelled to Berlin, Germany where J.H. studied surgery for a year, then returned to Freeport, Stephenson County, Illinois where J.H. went into medical partnership with Dr. W.S. Caldwell. Lura Connor Aronhalt 1857 "Claremont, New Hampshire" Samuel Aronhalt 1890 "Hamilton, Missouri" "Born in New Hampshire, family moved to Hamilton, Missouri around 1865. She married Samuel Aronhalt in 1890 and then he ran off without warning in the middle of the night and left her and took the two children around 1901. Lura and Samuel were residing in the Myrtle, Missouri area when he left, but had only been there a few months. He went over the line and re-married after a year or two. Lura went back to New Hampshire shortly after he left. No one left alive knows if she remarried or not. She died in 1923, but don't know if it was New Hampshire or another state. She had lots of relatives in Hamilton - several brothers. Her parents were Cornelius Dennis Connor and Mary Lodema Barrett Connor. They lived in Hamilton for years and are both buried there. Winifred Roberts/Robinson ca 1757 died Nov. 1822 James Roberts? before 1793 "Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi" "Winifred shows up in Natchez in 1811 when she signed an Administrators Bond for the estate of Jacob Giles. There are no papers left in that file. She signed the bond as Winne Robinson. On the census, tax records and her land deed she is named as Winifred Roberts. She seems to have been in Claiborne County, Mississippi, where there are marriages for two girls using the names Polly Robertson marrying James Cole 1809 and Betsy Robertson marrying William Cole 1807, before coming to Natchez. James Cole must have died soon after marriage, without leaving issue, as Mary ""Polly"" Cole married John Brown Stevens, from Bladen Co., North Carolina, in Natchez in 1813. Winifred left a will naming her daughters Mary Stevens and Elizabeth Cole, as well as grandchildren Winney Cole and Eli Stevens. This is my ancestor." Carolyn Martin Cole bobbye_carolyn@msn.com

"Mullis, Nancy" ca. 1810 Tennessee/North Carolina Unknown Unknown "North Carolina, Indiana" "I have been looking for information on this lady for several years. She was my great-great grandmother. By 1850, the first year she would have been listed by name on the census, she was either widowed or divorced (the census is unclear on which), so Mullis is most likely her married name. In 1850 she was living in Fayette County, Indiana with her daughter, Jane Mullis, and Jane's husband, Thomas Smith. I have not found her on the 1860 census, however, in 1870 and 1880 she was living with her daughter in Howard County, Indiana. The 1880 census is the last record I have found. I have been unable to find death records for either Nancy or Jane. Obviously, I need to know who Nancy's husband was (or Jane's father would do nicely also) in order to establish my link to the Mullis family." J.A. Cooper jules362@netins.net
