The 1800, 1810 and 1820 census have William Boyds in Londonderry NH and Portsmouth, East Kingston being in between the two. Stamper was a doctor and the captain of the wagon train that ended up in Farmington, California. They had eight children after arriving in California. Hiram H., Hosea B., Roseltha Lovisa, Josephine, Louis Oscar, William Riley, Frank Marion, and Alva Walker. William B. Stamper died in California in 1885; his mother, Mary, died in 1886, and Amanda died in 1907 -- all in California. Have been unable to find out who the parents of William B. Arkansas in the 1840's (?). We have always ""known"" that Sarah was Cherokee, but she is not listed on the Dawes Rolls. Elizabeth DeYoung, who worked in the Madison Co. Court House, provided the marriage information to my dad 2/18/1968. She did not have Sarah's parent's names, but said land records would seem to indicate that her father was Richard Cottrell. She did not have the mother's name. Can you provide information on Richard and his spouse? I would like to know for my own information, but especially for my granddaughter, a student in Montana, who would qualify for financial aid if the Indian bloodline can be established.
